In Mother Russia, we don’t believe in the salary caps
The Brooklyn Nets are relentlessly trying to be relevant next season. After trading for Joe Johnson (and his absurd contract) yesterday, everyone assume there was no long any room for Dwight Howard.
Oops. Apparently Mikhail Prokohrov doesn’t care about the NBA’s silly little salary cap and luxury tax.
According to Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard), the Nets and Magic are testing a possible deal to send Howard to Brooklyn in exchange for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks and the Nets 2013, 2015 and 2017 1st round picks.
More to come later today, but I think the Illuminati must be involved in this.
