Handicapping Week 6

Little bit late getting the picks out this week, busy day for Firehouse 4, but fortunately I got them to you before the Thursday night game where we’re making two picks. Last week we finished 2-3 and had our first loss on Monday night.

Tennessee Titans +6 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Total 43.5

The Steelers have gotten a spark back in their running game in the form of Mendenhall, and the Titans are on pace to allow the most points in the history of the NFL. Britt and Wright are starting to click a bit for Tennessee and I think that offense will start to break through this week even though Chris Johnson continues to call for a spark that he should be.

Take the Steelers -6 and the OVER

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Greg Shiano has the Bucs playing pretty good D but the Chiefs are moving the ball well with Charles. The difference in this game will be the uncertainty at the QB position for the Chiefs, and the Bucs will get their ground game going against the 22nd ranked run defense.

Take the Buccaneers -4

New York Jets -3 vs. Indianpolis Colts

The Colts did all of us Bears fans a big favor and put the Packers to 2-3 and last week, and I think they’ll continue that emotional play this week and beat up on a Jets team that is struggling in non-primetime games. The Colts secondary is decent and should be able to handle the Jet wideouts, while Andrew Luck won’t see much pressure from the Jets and will be able to pick apart the Jet D.

Take the Colts and the Points

Miami Dolphins vs. Saint Louis Rams Total 38

Both D’s can make up for the bad offenses and thats why the total is so low. However, the both teams can also have spurts of competency with somewhat talented wideouts. I look for both teams to be looking over this game as an easy win and the offenses will take advantage and both will score above their season averages.

Take the OVER

2-3 Last Week

13-12 Overall

4-1 Monday Night Specials
